Two Lok Sabha MPs from Odisha get key responsibilities
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has carried out a major reshuffle of its national organisation, with party president Nitin Nabin announcing a new team of office-bearers.
The new team includes 13 national vice presidents, 9 national general secretaries and 16 national secretaries, along with several other key appointments.
Baijayant Panda Retained as National Vice President
Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda has once again been appointed as a National Vice President of the BJP. Panda was already holding the same position in the party’s national organisation.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, former Union Minister D. Purandeshwari, and senior leaders including Ram Madhav, Tirath Singh Rawat, Rekha Verma, Manpreet Singh Badal, Lal Singh Arya and Madhuchandra Kar have also been appointed as national vice presidents.
Sambit Patra Gets North-East Responsibility
Puri MP Sambit Patra has been given an important organisational role as the North-East Coordinator of the BJP.
Senior leader Tarun Chugh has been appointed as the in-charge of the BJP’s central office, while Mahendra Pandey will serve as the party’s Central Office Secretary.
Smriti Irani, Biplab Deb Among New General Secretaries
According to the party’s announcement, B.L. Santhosh, Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, Biplab Kumar Deb and Smriti Irani, among others, have been appointed as national general secretaries.
Rajiv Babbar has been appointed as the North-East Joint Coordinator.
Vishnu Datt Sharma to Coordinate BJP Cells
Senior Madhya Pradesh leader Vishnu Datt Sharma has been appointed as the coordinator of all BJP cells.
Rituraj Sinha and Vishnu Vardhan Reddy have been appointed as joint coordinators.
Piyush Goyal Appointed BJP Treasurer
Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal has been appointed as the treasurer of the BJP.
The reshuffle gives several senior leaders new organisational responsibilities and marks a significant restructuring of the BJP’s national team.
