Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu left Bhubaneswar Railway Station for Berhampur on Tuesday aboard a special train as part of her three-day visit to Odisha.
The President’s train departed under tight security, with two additional special trains escorting it throughout the journey to ensure safe and uninterrupted travel.
After reaching Berhampur, President Murmu is scheduled to travel by road to Taptapani in Ganjam district, where she will offer prayers at the Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple.
Extensive security arrangements have been made along the Bhubaneswar-Berhampur railway route. Personnel from the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Odisha Police, and other security agencies have been deployed at railway stations, level crossings, and other sensitive locations to ensure the President’s safe passage.
President Murmu began her three-day official visit to Odisha on Monday, during which she is participating in several official and public engagements across the state.
