Mumbai: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has tied the knot with longtime companion Gauri Spratt in an intimate wedding ceremony attended by close family members and friends. The couple exchanged vows on July 5 in a private gathering held in Mumbai.
The ceremony was attended by Aamir’s children—Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, and Azad Rao Khan—along with several prominent personalities from the film industry and public life. Photographs from the event showed the couple dressed in elegant cream and beige traditional attire as they completed the marriage formalities in the presence of their loved ones.
Among those who attended the wedding were filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, actor-comedian Vir Das, and Maharashtra politician Raj Thackeray. Guests braved heavy rainfall in Mumbai, where authorities had issued a red alert due to intense monsoon conditions.
This marks Aamir Khan’s third marriage. The actor was previously married to Reena Dutta in 1986, with whom he has two children, Junaid and Ira. The couple separated in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, and the two welcomed their son Azad through surrogacy. Aamir and Kiran announced their separation in 2021 while continuing to maintain a cordial relationship.
Gauri Spratt has worked in the fashion and beauty industry and has also been associated with Aamir Khan Productions. Reports suggest that Aamir and Gauri have known each other for more than two decades, although their relationship developed into a romantic partnership only in recent years. Gauri was previously married and has a son.
Earlier this year, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, Aamir publicly spoke about his relationship with Gauri. He later confirmed that the couple would marry on July 5 in a small, family-oriented ceremony.
Describing the occasion, Aamir had said that it would be a simple and intimate celebration attended only by family members and a few close friends, making the day especially meaningful for both families.
